Programa

Born in 2003 into a family of musicians in Los Angeles, California. Began to study piano at the age of five under the guidance of his mother, Elena Makarova, and gave his first public appearance soon after. At the age of 9 he made his debut with a symphony orchestra in the city of Vaasa (Finland). In 2013 he performed in Vienna with the National Symphony Orchestra of the Czech Republic at the Musikverein. Collaborates with such orchestras as the Moscow Symphony, Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra (Spain), Madrid Virtuosi Symphony Orchestra (Spain), Irkutsk Symphony Orchestra, Vladimir Governor’s Symphony Orchestra.

Prizewinner of international competitions, including the 63rd International Piano Competition «Premio Jaen» (2022, Spain, 1st prize and special prizes for the best performance of chamber music and an author’s work by the composer Laura Vega), 21st International Piano Competition «Composers of Spain» (2021, Madrid, 1st prize), International Piano Competition Val de Travers (Switzerland, 2021, 1st prize), II International Rachmaninoff Piano Competition (2020, Moscow, 1st prize), V Moscow International G. G. Neuhaus (Moscow, 2018, Winner). Participant of the International piano project «Pianissimo» (Russia), Rheingau Muzik Festival (Germany), American Fine Arts Festival (USA), Piano Loop Festival (Croatia), Rafael Orozco Piano Festival ( Spain), ArsLonga Music Festival. Scholarship recipient and an active participant of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation, participant of the Life Line Charity Foundation( Russia) and American Fine Arts Festival. He gives solo concerts in USA, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Croatia, at prestigious concert venues such as Carnegie Hall (New York, USA), Musikverein (Vienna, Austria), the Grand, Small, and Rachmaninoff halls of the Moscow Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall (Moscow), Zaryadye Concert Hall (Moscow), the State Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg), St. Petersburg State Academic Capella, Minsk Philharmonic (Belarus), Olomouc Philharmonic (Czech Republic), Ridotto del Teatro Comunale (Ferrara, Italy).

Participated in master classes with Alexander Ghindin, Daniel Pollak, Dmitry Rakhmanov, Grigory Gruzman, Andreas Frolich, Philip Raskin, Antonio Pompa-Baldi and Stefan Arnold.

Today Angel S. Wang is a student of the P.I Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, where he studies with Professor Natalia Trull
